Ota at the Third Edition of Afi-love Fest

Ota was present at the third edition of African-love Fest which took place on 3rd November 2019 at Ikigai Westlands. The family-friendly event is a celebration of creativity which composes of creative workshops, talks, interactive experiences and a fair with innovative makers and designers. 

Ota’s interactive workshop titled “Creative Businesses Get Investor Ready” was run by Kendi Kamwambia, HEVA’s Head of Compliance and Support and Wakiuru Njuguna, HEVA’s Investment Manager. It was attended by 17 female entrepreneurs in value chains across femtech, music, digital content creation, furniture making, wellbeing and architecture and art. 

Kendi guided the ladies in creative industries on how best to identify a suitable investor, prepare the business to attract desirable investors, understand what investors look for in a business and how do develop a pitch. The session closed with an introduction to HEVA Fund’s business support and funding options.
