Congratulations to HEVA’s New Managing Partner, Wakiuru Njuguna, and Our Two New Partners.

HEVA is pleased to officially announce that Ms. Wakiuru Njuguna assumes her new leadership role as managing partner. In a transition which began in September 2022, Wakiuru Njuguna succeeds George Gachara who previously held the role since 2013.

The transition in leadership comes as HEVA completes its 9th year as the region’s first dedicated finance and business support facility for the creative economy. A detailed press release on the announcement can be read here. 

In more great news, Ms. Kendi Kamwambia and Mr. Sunny Dolat were both extended the role of partnership and have accepted to join the board. George Gachara warmly welcomed the two new partners, “I welcome you to provide leadership to an institution where you have already contributed so much character. I shall also remain on the board, and together with Kendi and Sunny, we shall support the manager to lead HEVA into the future.” Ms. Wakiuru Njuguna also congratulated the new partners and expressed that she looks forward to the support of both trusted visionaries.

HEVA would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge  Dr. Njoki Ngumi, a founding member and Mr. Jim Chuchu the former chair of the board  who recently left the team, their support as founding members and contributions over the years have been invaluable. We wish them great success as they move forward.
